this looks like a malay curry dish called ayam masak lemak..
guess this is pretty much a southeast asian influenced recipe

I myself am from pakistan. its not meant to be indian food, it’s more of a Thai food.him using lemon grass and coconut milk. It looks delicious and looking forward to making it!

lot of asian countries have different versions and takes on curry…even within india..different states have different styles of curry.
He didn’t say it was going to be an indian curry though.
One of the many things I love about chef Ramsay is that he never western food is superior.
If you’ve seen the show: Gordon’s great escape, you’ll see his respect to different culinary culture.
The curry in this show is definitely for people in western country, because the ingredients are easier to be gathered there.
BTW, the recipe of chicken curry with rice is different in India, Thai, Japan, Taiwan, and many other countries in Asia.
English curry and Indian curry are two different things from two different places…
