This is a Filipino recipe. Not Puerto Rican. Or Spanish. Hispanic people make adobo too, but this is Filipino style

The sauce is too strong because you probably used the wrong type of soy sauce.

  14. kevmarkpat says:

i do this one but i marinade the chicken in the vinegar /soy sauce / bay leaf / chopped garlic and onion strips for at least 24 hours.in a big plastic bag in the fridge. No prep needed on the night we have it just drop it all into the pot.

    Wanna cook adobo?

In a pot, add in chicken thighs and breasts. Pour in white cane vinegar, kikkoman soy sauce, brown sugar, bayleaf, cracked peppercorns, crushed–peeled garlic and minced onions.

cook in medium to medium-low heat until chicken is cooked. DONE. eat with rice, get fat!

    Fuck complicated instructions.

I <3 Adobo, no matter if it’s made by Filipinos or Spanish people.
