I ordered a “plain” chicken, not the parmesan or anything of the sort, just plain ol’ chicken. The waitress said they marinade it in their own Italian dressing & cook it on a flat top grill/stove. If anyone knows how to make this, much obliged!
Anyone know the recipe for Longhorn Steakhouse’s chicken marinade, was told it was their Italian dressing?

The marinade is based in the Italian dressing but has additional ingredients. This is a fairly close approximation:
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons cumin
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
2 tablespoons salt
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, cumin, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt and regular salt. Store in a tightly sealed container if not used immediately.
Whisk together 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1/3 cup canola oil, 1/3 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons pomegranate juice, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons of the seasoning mix. Increase as needed based upon the amount of chicken being cooked.
